Florida, Cuba, 25 dic.- The city of Florida, about 550 kilometers east of Havana, is a city that grows, develops and preserves its architectural heritage. It is one of the 13 municipalities in the province of Camagüey.
Several works were erected in its historic center, among which the attractive Boulevard, consisting of 82 facilities for the provision of services of the State and non-state sector.
By its surface extension (1260 square kilometers), it is the third of the provincial territory, after Vertientes and Guáimaro. It has a population of more than 76,800 inhabitants, the second after the provincial capital.
Florida is bathed, among others, by the waters of the rivers Caonao, which crosses the north; Río abajo, on the borders with Céspedes and Esmeralda, and the river Muñoz. Cuenta, in the south. (Translated by Linet Acuña Quilez)
