Camagüey, Cuba, Nov. 12.- Upon exceeding half a million school uniforms in less than two months, the Atelier Ensueños, of the city of Camagüey, received the Certificate of Labor Progress, in an act held this Monday in that unit of the Ministry of the Light Industry in the Camagüey’s province.

In the country, only three centers of the National Trade Union of Trade, Gastronomy and Services Workers are worthy of the important stimulus: from Artemisa, Villa Clara and Camagüey, said Pedro Víctor Simón Rodríguez, General Secretary of that labor union on the Island.

He added that all provinces exceeded their commitments in the making of school uniforms, although Artemis, Cienfuegos and Las Tunas were the best in their entirety.

The union leader Yolexy Rosales Ramírez said that the workers of the agramontino atelier stood out for making arrangements to the school uniforms that were marketed for students in the final stage of the vocational period and in the making of such garments.

When granting the certificate, the national union leader informed that light industry workers across the country delivered in just 45 days of work more than three million school uniforms, which is a feat never achieved in such a short period.

The certificate of special recognition, said Simón Rodríguez, accredits the performance, effort and hours committed by the workers of the Atelier Ensueños – the vast majority of women – so that children start the new school year with their uniforms.(Translated by Linet Acuña Quilez)

Camagüey’s workers reject coup d’état in Bolivia
The workers of the Atelier Ensueños de Camagüey, Proeza Laboral 2019 collective, unanimously expressed the condemnation of the coup d’etat in Bolivia against democracy and the constitutional president Evo Morales, who was forced to resign from his position to avoid a bloodbath.

In addition, they urged the international community to pronounce itself to demand the restoration of order, to stop murders, house rapes and indiscriminate persecution; and expressed the conviction that the Bolivian people will overcome the fascist right.

They also patented their support for Evo Morales, victim of the military assault orchestrated by the United States and the Organization of American States (OAS) with the vile participation of the empire’s lap dogs, former opposition candidates Carlos Mesa and Luis Fernando Camacho.

Pedro Víctor Simón Rodríguez, general secretary of the National Trade Union of Trade, Gastronomy and Services Workers in Cuba, expressed outrage at the coup in the Latin American nation.

He added that on behalf of the Cuban people “we reject the coup d’etat and support Evo Morales.”

In Cuba, the indigenous leader will always have brothers, company and a brigade like the one commanded by Ernesto Che Guevara to fight for the freedom of Bolivia if necessary, ”said the union leader.(Translated by Linet Acuña Quilez)
