Arte Plaza… culture to grow (+ Photos)

Camagüey, Cuba, Jan 25.- The Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey (OHCC) puts on the table a new project aimed at the cultural, socioeconomic development and conservation of the heritage of the city of Camagüey.

Creative Industries, Arte Plaza is the name of the initiative approved since 2019 and which is funded by the European Union and whose execution will be linked to Non-Governmental organizations such as Care International and Oikos.

OHCC Master Plan specialists at a press conference stated that the project is an opportunity for the construction of collective knowledge and the sustainable development of the community.

A creative circuit that will take place in the five main squares of the princely region, Parque Agramonte, Plaza de los Trabajadores, Parque Martí, Plaza del Carmen and Plaza San Juan de Dios, in the same way it will have two secondary squares and four squares.

Strengthening the capacities of cultural and economic agents and the local population is the main objective of the Creative Industries project in Camagüey, which is defined by the production and commercialization of goods with cultural, artistic and patrimonial content.

The Office of the City Historian, once again resorts to creativity and individual and collective talent, to make way for the creation of new jobs, linking the rich cultural potential of the Mild Region of Sheperds and Hats.
