In Camagüey 9th Conference on Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development

Camagüey, Cuba, Apr 13.- Celebrate diversity and with it the common heritage of people, ranging from language to religious beliefs that make up identities, is the call of the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey (OHCC) through the historical-cultural links of the peoples of the Caribbean with Cuba.

Scheduled from May 19 to 21, 2021, the 9th Conference on Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development will be held, which will occupy the virtual stage dedicated to making visible the contributions of different geographical regions in shaping the culture of Camaguey and Cuba in a general sense.

Scholars, historians, sociocultural promoters and professional managers may participate or not through the publication of presentations in PDF format, radio podcasts, audios or videos of up to four minutes which will be received until April 23.

Migration and interculturality, the influence of the Caribbean peoples on cultural manifestations, historical and political ties, culinary culture and trades, religiosity, as well as the historical-cultural ties between Panama and Cuba, appear as general thematic lines.
