The contest for the preservation of the Historical Memory is called in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 2.- Under the slogan Preventing and conserving is telling the story in the future, the territorial delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) in Camagüey, through the Department of Document Management and Archives, summons to participate in the first edition of the contest For the preservation of Historical Memory.

Children and adolescents may participate in the categories up to 10 years old and from 11 to 18 years old, in the genres of literature, poetry and short stories; as well as in plastic arts, where works of drawings, digital images, videos or other derivatives of the creativity of the contestants will be accepted and valued.

The works, whose themes to be addressed are how to take care of documents of historical value and the history of the province, must show the actions of children and adolescents in the preservation of historical memory and preventive conservation measures for documents in any medium.

The works, which must have the contestant’s personal data, may be delivered, without limits on the techniques, formats and materials to be used, at the CITMA Territorial Delegation in Camagüey or be sent to the e-mails niurvys@citmacam.gob. cu and delegacioncmg@citmacam.gob.cu.

The admission date of the contest For the preservation of the Historical Memory will close on October 5, 2021 and the awards ceremony, by categories and genres, will be held on November 5 of this year, in the middle of the day for the Day of the Cuban Archivist.
