Social assistance in Camagüey, at the service of the people (+ Photos)

Camagüey, Cuba, Apr 3.- A social study carried out in 2019 to a group of families from Camagüey revealed the existing situation in various population sectors, after carrying out a demographic characterization by a multidisciplinary team of the Directorate of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in the province.

Thus, the difficult scenario for those mothers with more than three children, the number of older adults who live alone, the disabled who require assistance and the victimization of minors who fail to comply with school duties, were confirmed, as reported in a press conference by Yanyrys Hernández Vento, directive of the referred institution.

Havana, Cuba, Mar 11.- For Cuban women to be increasingly emancipated in the Revolution, the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, convened this Wednesday during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers that he evaluated several of the measures included in the National Plan for the Advancement of Women, a presidential decree published on March 8 in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba.
