September, 2021.- Since before the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, aggressions from outside the country were present towards all sectors of society with the aim of stopping the advance of the transformations.

Especially in the early years, there were plenty of attacks on economic targets, the assassination attempts of the main leaders, the boycott of the processes and even the mercenary invasion by Playa Girón were part of the agenda that the United States government orchestrated against Cuba.

That is the collective effort of a Revolution

September, 2021.- There are many obstacles that Cubans have had to face in more than sixty years of the Revolution, some born of the constant hostility that comes from outside the island, mainly from their neighbor to the north; but also due to the disabilities of those who live here.

Being very clear about what you want and the most humane and fair way to achieve it does not always guarantee the expected result, it takes a lot of commitment and dedication to advance in times of such radical transformations as those experienced in the nation since 1959.

Continúa labor de Joven Club en Camagüey por la informatización de la sociedad

Camagüey, Cuba, 8 sep.- Los trabajadores de los Joven Club de Computación y Electrónica (JCCE) en la provincia de Camagüey arriban hoy a los 34 años de creada esa institución satisfechos por continuar el impulso a la informatización de la sociedad y otras tareas de impacto, pese a la incidencia de la COVID-19.

Felicita Díaz-Canel a Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba

La Habana, Cuba, 20 ago.- El presidente de Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, envió hoy un mensaje de congratulación a los miembros y trabajadores de la Unión Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC) en ocasión de sus 60 años.

La misiva del gobernante rememora “el nacimiento de una organización que ha ocupado siempre un lugar de vanguardia en la cultura revolucionaria, gestada a partir de los intercambios iniciales del líder histórico de la Revolución, Fidel Castro, con los creadores de la isla”.

Fraternity and sympathy between our two peoples

August, 2021.- Cuba’s relations with the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean follow a natural destiny, that which gives, together with its geographical and cultural proximity, the common history of exploitation and uprooting.

With the inhabitants of the Dominican Republic, ties are strengthened, from the fighting actions of the aborigines before the Spanish colonizer or the machete charges bravely guided by that man who became known in the largest of the Antilles as El Generalísimo.

Where will military spending take the planet?

August, 2021.- The empire and the robots was one of the reflections in which the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution analyzed the consequences of wars and the arms industry, conductors of the planet’s destiny for several years.

On August 19, 2009, the text was published in which Fidel Castro Ruz states that in the last decade military expenditures worldwide have doubled; He also details how the United States uses the most modern technologies for the manufacture of remote-controlled weapons.

An awareness of the Agrarian Reform

August, 2020.- During the day of August 10, 1960, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz closed the meeting of the Coordinators of the Cañeras Cooperatives, held at the theater of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba in Havana.

In his words, the revolutionary leader recalls the conditions in which the peasants associated with the sugar harvest lived before 1959: “…in those enormous extensions of sugarcane, man had been reduced to the condition of an inferior, humiliated, dispossessed of everything”.

Ganarnos la fe del pueblo

Junio, 2021.- “Nuestro programa revolucionario es el más completo, nuestra línea la más clara, nuestra historia la más sacrificada: tenemos derecho a ganarnos la fe del pueblo, sin la cual, lo repito mil veces, no hay revolución posible”.

Estas líneas llegaron el 19 de junio de 1954 a las manos de Melba Hernández y a Haydée Santamaría, las dos mujeres que participaron en el asalto al cuartel Moncada; llegaban desde el presidio Modelo en Isla de Pinos… provenían del compañero Fidel. Leer más de esta entrada
