ICAIC celebrates National Culture Day with projection of the film El Mayor

Havana, Cuba, Oct 20.- The film El Mayor, a posthumous feature film by Rigoberto López Pego, will be screened today in a special way at the Chaplin Cinema in the capital, action of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) to celebrate the Day of the National Culture.

As part of a series of special presentations of the most recent of its productions, ICAIC chose El Mayor to commemorate this significant date.

Influenza vaccination campaign will begin in Cuba on October 11

Havana, Cuba, Oct. 6.- From next October 11 to December 11, the influenza vaccination campaign will be carried out throughout the national territory for children from six to 11 months and 29 days old, with the purpose of prevent serious complications associated with seasonal influenza in the southern hemisphere.

Start of clinical trial in convalescent pediatric population of COVID-19 approved

Havana, Cuba, Sep 29.- The Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices (CECMED) announced today the authorization to start a clinical trial with Soberana Plus for children convalescing from COVID-19.

It is necessary to carry out the clinical trial in the pediatric population and not only grant the authorization for emergency use, so the research will cover about 530 infants from the capital and the province of Cienfuegos, said Olga Lidia Jacobo Casanueva, director of CECMED.

September, 2021.- On our way back from the fishing bell in the Gulf of Campestre, we sighted the banks of the city of Havana. The commotion was great that most of the crew of the Tiburon Motopequero went out on deck to observe the beautiful Cuban city with tears of emotions.

The group of students from the Carlos Adán Valdés school in East Havana had fulfilled the mission entrusted to them with honor. We all received special recognition from the Young Communist League (UJC).
